Heading West

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Our crew has been so blessed with the support we received in Prince George, Vanderhoof, Fort St-James and Tachie. I am blown away by the stories we heard and touched by those affected by violence. Some have kept their stories quiet for years, but have now decided to speak up. This is the first step to making a difference for the next generation.

One movement that I am hugely in support of, is the Moose Hide Campaign: a grassroots movement of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal men who are stading up against violence towards Aboriginal women and children. We participated in a very moving ceremony at the Native Friendship Center yesterday. It’s only the beginning of something that will catch on and create change.

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and an excellent weekend!
